"Hong Kong is the root and heart of HSBC, which is now one of the largest banks in the world. The US and Europe are sizable markets so it is natural to see them contributing a lot of profit. Hong Kong is a small place and it is extraordinary to see such a small place can contribute such significant value to the bank.
