The Hong Kong Trade Development Council, publisher of Hong Kong Trader, wishes to express our deepest sympathy to all our readers touched by the tragedy of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.
In targeting world tradeˇ¦s most glittering symbol, the perpetrators of this horrific act struck down thousands of innocent people from America and its global trading partners. Even as we grieve their loss, we can best honour their memory by getting back to the business of world trade as fast as security considerations allow. Building a more peaceful and prosperous world community on the foundations of global trade has become more important than ever. We must not, by these shocking events, be deterred from working together to succeed in this global economy.
