Riding on the success of last year’s largest-ever overseas film promotion at the Cannes Film Festival, Hong Kong will organise a series of activities at this year’s event to be held from May15-25. International attention was focused on the SAR industry’s many strengths when director Wong Kar-wai became the first SAR director to win the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999.
