  In response to enquiries from overseas businesses about the impact of SARS on their Hong Kong trade, TDC has compiled a report, drawing together advice from the World Health Organisation and the Hong Kong Department of Health.   • The risk is small. Less than 0.02% of Hong Kong's population is affected.
  • Business is still taking place. Hong Kong businesses are using teleconferencing, the internet and courier services to serve their customers. Business as usual for IT-savvy firms
  • Goods or cargo from Hong Kong do not pose a health risk.
  • Hong Kong has world-class medical facilities and stringent hygiene measures are being taken to control the disease.

The document also highlights the TDC's free online services. Many of these services are tailored for overseas companies interested in developing or maintaining links with suppliers or manufacturers based in Hong Kong and southern China.
