World's biggest "newspaper" wraps Hong Kong's tallest building (01/11/2003)

Hong Kong's tallest building, the 88 floor Two ifc located on the spectacular Victoria Harbour waterfront has been wrapped in the world's biggest "newspaper".

The wrap aims to highlight the Financial Times' (FT) recently launched Asia edition from its newly established regional base in Hong Kong and also to raise the profile of the SAR's newest skyscraper.

Su-Mei Thompson commercial director for FT Asia said: "The wrap is the world's biggest newspaper and provides a great opportunity to promote our new Asia edition in a creative and impactful way."

The building wrap is the first of its kind in Hong Kong, using 20,000 square metres of mesh-style fabric. The wrap at a height of 400 metres covers fifty floors of the ifc building on the North and East sides and is taller than all but a handful of Europe's highest skyscrapers. And yes, you can see through the pink FT mesh wrap and get a rose-tinted view of the harbour.
