Overseas companies will find it easier to access business opportunities in the services sector with the recent launch of seven new Internet portals by the Trade Development Council (TDC).
The new sites embedded on TDC's cyber platform on services, http://hkservices.tdctrade.com serves as a one-stop shop for the promotion of Hong Kong's service portals.
"With this portal potential users around the world will be able to seek out Hong Kong services providers. Hong Kong companies can be at their service anytime they want it," said Rachel Chan TDC director of services promotion.
The portals provide service industry profiles, success stories for experience sharing, feature stories about industry trends, promotion opportunities for individual service providers and web broadcasting on specific topics.
Ms Chan said the portals create business opportunities through an automatic business-matching service, an online Hong Kong company directory, worldwide business contacts and an up-to-date list of trade associations in Hong Kong and around the world.
The industries served by this portal include banking and finance; transport and logistics; infrastructure and real estate; information and IT; professional services; design, licensing and trade fair business and films.
