UFI Asia Pacific Chapter chairman Michael Duck says the opening of the regional office in Hong Kong is in response to the dynamic industry growth in the area  
UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry, has opened a regional office in Hong Kong to meet intense industry demand in the Asia Pacific region.

The regional office will develop market analysis and strategic plans for the development of UFI in the region, promote membership opportunities and assist the UFI Asia Pacific Chapter in its programme of activities.

UFI Asia Pacific Chapter chairman Michael Duck said the office opening was a "historic event for UFI as the global association promoting, serving and representing the exhibition industry."

He added: "UFI must have a regional office ready to meet the specific needs of our dynamic industry growth in the area."

Consulting company Business Strategies Group (BSG) of Hong Kong has been selected for a one year period to represent UFI in the region. BSG's founder and Manager for UFI Asia Pacific Paul Woodward said he looks "forward to this opportunity to support UFI as it moves forward with new programmes and initiatives in the Asia Pacific region.

UFI promotes, serves and represents the trade fair and exhibition industry worldwide. Via its 248 member organisations including the world's leading show organisers and fairground owners, 37 professional associations and 11 industry partners, UFI is present in 74 countries.
