One of Japan's leading electronics and networking solutions providers, ITX E-Globaledge, recently set up its regional office in Hong Kong to tap the huge market potential in the Chinese mainland.

President and COO of ITX E-Globaledge Hong Kong & China Limited, Tomoaki Tokoyama, said China is clearly one of their key target markets. "The new Hong Kong will enable us to expand our function in China to bring in advanced technology and unique business models from Japan, the US and EU and bring out those from China to the world."

Mr Yokoyama added that Hong Kong provides the company with an excellent business environment to grow the business in the region especially in the mainland. "The availability of a pool of local talent with expertise in our IT industry and language capabilities - fluency in Japanese, English and Chinese - also made it more attractive for us to set up an office here. These unique offerings of Hong Kong cannot be matched by other Asian markets."

Simon Tsang acting associate director-general at InvestHK said ITX E-Globaledge's presence "strengthens the city's position as the international business hub of Asia."
