| Autumn fairs draw in the crowds ( 01/10/2004 ) | |||||||||
Like the spring edition of the Electronics Fair that was introduced earlier this year (April 14) by organiser, the Trade Development Council (TDC), this autumn fair will help industry buyers replenish their inventory with new and innovative products. 23 countries and regions are represented with first-time participants from Canada, New Zealand, the Philippines and Switzerland underlining the international reputation that the fair has built as a must-attend event for the electronics industry. Hong Kong Electronics Fair. TDC senior exhibitions manager Anne Chick remarked on the keen participation. "We have faced a space problem over recent years as the fair became so successful and well-received by the industry." By utilising all available space, the net exhibition area has increased by 5 per cent to 30,900 sq metres. So far, all the graphs have been positive for the recent Hong Kong trade fairs. Buyer attendance at Asia's largest timepiece show, Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair which ended on 5 September, was up by 10 per cent while visitors from Europe and the US jumped 13 per cent and 5 per cent respectively. Asia's largest timepiece show attracts 10% more buyers. Judging from the success of the spring and summer fairs this year, other vibrant fairs - Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong, Interstoff Asia, International Lighting Fair and International Hardware and Home Improvement Fair and the Hong Kong Optical Fair - held in autumn can expect similar positive response from buyers and exhibitors alike. Summer shows to bring flurry of new sourcing opportunities. Click here for a full list of TDC events. October November | |||||||||
