Search company sets up base for cross border work (05/06/2006)

An international wholly owned Executive Search & HR Consultancy network, SpenglerFox, with headquarters in UK, announced the opening of its new Hong Kong office.

The Regional Director MEAA of SpenglerFox, Nick Ekendahl, said: "We provide a unique offering of international cross-border executive search and HR consultancy for both multinational and local clients. This cross-border approach has been vital when dealing with the Western European markets. With the growing demand for cross-border executive search for multinational corporations rapidly expanding in Asia, we found it a right time to enter the region."

"Moreover, Hong Kong is the key international business centre in the region, with the highest concentration of multinational companies -- including many of our clients. It is natural for us to set up operations here where our clients grow and expand their businesses," he said.

Support for Asian network of offices

According to Mr Ekendahl, the company’s expansion here demonstrates its dedication to being the leading partner in executive search. To support the Asian network, the company also has opened three more new offices in key Asian cities -- namely Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore. The Asian operations will be managed out of Hong Kong.

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Simon Galpin, said the increasing trend of multinational companies using Hong Kong as the base for regional operations has created higher demand for various business and professional services. "This is illustrated by the new openings and expansions of HR consultancies and executive search firms like SpenglerFox in Hong Kong, serving client companies’ needs both locally and regionally."

SpenglerFox is the ISO 9002 accredited Executive Search wing of Grafton Recruitment, the Irish-owned group established in 1982. Since launching the SpenglerFox brand in 2003 in London, the company has established 17 offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
