The Quarterdeck Kowloon offers Australian seafood cuisine with a full harbour view |
Food and catering company Great Vision Company Limited celebrated the opening of its second nautically-themed Australian restaurant in Harbour City, Tsimshatsui.
Following in the footsteps of The Quarterdeck Club in Wanchai, The Quarterdeck Kowloon offers Australian seafood cuisine with a full harbour view.
According to the owner and Managing Director, Paul Buxton, Great Vision Company Limited has invested more than HK$4.5 million in the 3,462-square-foot restaurant. He said the restaurant is strategically located to capture the world-famous harbour view and the international mix of tourists and local customers.
“Like our first restaurant in Wanchai, we want the Harbour City outlet to become a destination location. The view and the spectacular Symphony of Lights laser show, together with our Australian seafood menu, mean that we are able to offer a unique dining experience for our customers. To cater to the international mix of our customers, our menus are available in English, simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean” said Mr Buxton.
“Hong Kong is conveniently located in the heart of Asia supported by well-developed logistics operators and facilities. We can buy fresh seafood from other markets with a minimal transportation cost every day. In addition, staff in Hong Kong are well trained and many can speak two to three languages. This helps us provide world-class service to our international diners” he added.
The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, John Rutherford, said: “Quarterdeck's expansion is a great example of how foreign investors can benefit from Hong Kong's position as a leading market for Chinese and international cuisine.”
Established in 2004 by Australian food and beverage entrepreneur Paul Buxton, Great Vision Company Limited owns and operates Bulldog's Bar and Grill in Central's entertainment district Lan Kwai Fong and The Quarterdeck Club in Wanchai.
