Dassault Falcon Jet Corp, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based Dassault Aviation, recently opened a new office in Hong Kong. The office will play a pivotal role in the company's regional strategy enabling them to establish close relationships with customers across Asia's burgeoning aviation market.
The Hong Kong office, which will act as its regional headquarters, cements Dassault's recent expansion in the Asia Pacific region and follows the opening of its Kuala Lumpur office and the appointment of Hawker Pacific as the sales agent in Australia and New Zealand.
"There's been a brisk market for business jets in Asia over the past couple of years particularly in Hong Kong and Malaysia. Mainland China is of particular interest. With its growing international importance and the rising demand for new aircraft, we are confident that we are in a strong position to not only take advantage of market growth but also to service our fleet of aircraft in the region," said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon.
Jerome Desmazures, Director of Sales, in North Asia will lead the sales and marketing effort in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mark Michelson, said the launch of Dassault Falcon Jet Corp's new office underlines Hong Kong as a regional transportation and logistics hub. “With Asia and Hong Kong – and regional aviation – enjoying robust economic growth, I would expect that the company's commitment to long-term development in Hong Kong will contribute to Dassault's overall competitiveness, as well as enriching our aviation industry," he added.
With a work force of over 2300 professionals, Dasault has been manufacturing and supporting its range of Falcon business jets since 1963 and has sold over 2000 jets to more than 65 countries world wide. Source: InvestHK
