Hong Kong’s superb infrastructure, close ties to the Chinese mainland and attractive work environment attract a global refractory manufacturer.

REFRATECHNIK Group, a German refractory manufacturer, set up its new regional headquarters in Hong Kong in November 2007.

The new office is charged with the management and co-ordination of the company's manufacturing plants in the mainland. The initial team consists of 20 employees and a further 10 employees will soon join the office.

Alexander Tutsek, President of Refratechnik said: “We are sure that the foundation of our new Hong Kong company will be another successful step for the strategic development of Refratechnik. We are sure that our new headquarters will pave the way to further expansion in the region.”

“Hong Kong was chosen as our regional base of operations because of its excellent infrastructure, strong links to the Chinese mainland, stable government and the attractive working and living conditions for our team,” he added.

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Charles Ng, said the city’s pro-business governance, low taxes and international lifestyle offer companies the right mix to succeed.
